When it comes to a bed and breakfast, there are two things more important than anything else, the bed and the breakfast. And at the Honeybee Inn, we also believe in quality and quantity.
The Honeybee Inn has four unique, romantic guest rooms, which are each decorated in a different style, from elegant Victorian, to Country chic. Feather and memory foam beds, fireplaces (seasonal), jetted whirlpool tubs, lighted make up mirrors, quality private modern bathrooms, blue tooth sound bars in some rooms, large DVD library, and down comforters, all await your presence for your romantic Wisconsin getaway. And for all of us who stay in touch with the world, free WIFI throughout the inn!

“The Honeybee provided the most beautiful atmosphere for a weekend romantic getaway….This is a destination worth traveling to, to experience some homestyle luxury. Our compliments to the Inn Keepers, Barbara and Fred” — TripAdvisor Review
Your hosts
Barb and Fred Ruka initially hale from the Milwaukee WI area. They met at their church and married in 1977. Five wonderful children came into their home, three boys and two girls. Before opening the inn in 2002, they lived in the Madison WI area for 12 years.
Fred is a master plumber and built their last home himself from the ground up. He is also a certified remodeler and can fix or build anything according to Barb. Fred is a cross country skier, roller skier and past runner. He completed several half marathons, including the one at Disney World.
Barb was a stay at home mom who always dreamed of opening a bed and breakfast after visiting many while on vacations. She has a keen eye for design and decorating and has won several blue and red ribbons at the Wisconsin State Fair for her baking, cake decorating and canning. Barb is a self described Disney World junkie and loves to travel to Florida. She is very involved with the Wisconsin Bed and Breakfast Association. Barb taught hospitality and how to make great breakfasts, at the aspiring innkeeper’s seminar, twice a year for 12 years. She was also a past president, secretary and regional representative of the association.
Fred and Barb’s youngest two sons were very active in helping around the inn when they were at home. As Barb put it, no one could clean a bathroom like Dan and Adam (someday their wives will thank me)! Dan is in college studying Wildlife Management and Adam, is in graduate school for Biology who still helps at the inn with landscaping. They both work out west as wildfire firefighters in the summers. Adam also worked the huge fire in Georgia in the fall of 2016, hiking 7 miles up a mountain, fighting the wildfires all day and walking 7 miles out each night. Residents in surrounding towns were so grateful, they bought the firefighters dinner each night!
Barb, Fred and Rocky (their nine year old Cockapoo they call their love dog), are excited to welcome you to the Honeybee Inn Bed and Breakfast.
